Poem: Memorial Day

Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a time of remembrance

For all of our soldiers and sailors who've died

While in the service of their country

Which they protect with honor and pride.

All of our military men and women

Sacrifice much to keep us safe and free.

It is fitting for us to pay tribute to those

Who gave up their lives for you and me.

We long for the day when all war will be ended..

The Evil One has had his way for too long.

We yearn for the return of the Great Prince of Peace.

No more conflicts as we'll all get along.

Savior Jesus, we pray, come quickly.

All of God's united kingdom awaits your heavenly reign.

With Satan vanquished and evil extinquished,

There'll be no more war ever again.

When that wonderful day at last happens,

The whole earth will love and follow the Lord.

No more fighting, or death or sorrows.

We'll again have Paradise; The Garden of Eden restored.!
