Iraq crisis is not showing any signs of settling down, while the threat of ebola virus has worsened over the last couple of months. This means that we will have to pray even harder. Even as recently faith leaders in London united to condemn the atrocities perpetrated by the IS (Islamic State) on the minorities in the country, on the other continent, a mob looted an Ebola Isolation center, and stole contaminated equipment, and bloodstained mattresses.
We know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
What is before us, we know not, whether we shall live or die; but this we know, that all things are ordered and sure. Everything is ordered with unerring wisdom and unbounded love, by you, our God, who are love. Grant us in all things to see your hand; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Andrew Murray, one of most well-known evangelists of 20th century, implored Christians to pray by the power of Holy Spirit, as the special privilege given to God's children through Christ. He reminds believers that they should take hold of the promise they have in being confident that their prayers will be answered by Father. He reminds the reader that, "As much as prayer must be to the Father and through the Son, it must be by the Spirit."
